BSML was one of the earliest developers of language teaching in America. Our history includes working with the pioneers in Second Language Acquisition.
Why choose an accredited school?
Accreditation is an incredibly important facet of your education.Accreditation shows that a school has met and is maintaining a high level of standards set by an accrediting agency. This agency evaluates a school's programs to ensure that they meet applicable academic standards. Choosing an accredited school means choosing an institution that is considered to be authentic and professional.
BSML is accredited by ACCET and is authorized by the Department of Homeland Security to issue students the I 20 form.
BSML holds the ACCET (Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training), Certificate of Accreditation, which was recently renewed for the 5 year maximum, awarded by the ACCET governing body. Our accreditation is valid until April 2018.
Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training, ACCET was founded in 1974 for the purpose of improving continuing education and training and has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a “reliable authority” as to the quality of education and training provided by the institutions we accredit. Certificate of Accreditation, which was recently renewed for the 5 year maximum, awarded by the ACCET governing body.
We are also approved by Quality English (QE). QE connects international students with English Language schools. Quality English schools are carefully selected for their quality and reputation and offer a choice of general and specialized courses in locations around the world. All schools are independently owned and managed. They are not part of a chain and each school has its own unique character.
QE takes quality control very seriously and regularly monitors the quality of all English language schools through
student feedback, agent references and accreditation results. These must be of an excellent and consistent standard.
English USA is the only organization in the United States that includes all types of intensive English programs (IEPs). With a membership of over 400 accredited IEPs, they are the largest membership organization specifically serving and supporting IEPs in the United States. They support the professional development of IEP leaders and staff, uphold professional standards for IEPs, and increase the visibility of IEPs in the United States. Their mission is to provide support, standards, and advocacy for intensive English programs in the USA.
The TOEFL iBT® test, administered online, is offered more than 50 times a year at authorized test centers around the world. It is an important part of a student's journey to study in an English-speaking country. The ETS TOEFL Program also provides learning support for students preparing for the test.
Association of International Educators is a non-profit professional organization for professionals in all areas of international education including education abroad advising and administration, international student advising, campus internationalization, admissions, outreach, overseas advising, and English as a Second Language (ESL) administration.
TESOL International Association, formerly Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, is the largest professional organization for teachers of English as a second or foreign language. It was founded in 1966, and is based in Alexandria, Virginia, in the United States.
Founded in 1919, the Institute of International Education® (IIE) is a private not-for-profit leader in the international exchange of people and ideas. In collaboration with governments, foundations and other sponsors, IIE creates programs of study and training for students, educators and professionals from all sectors. These programs include the flagship Fulbright Program and Gilman Scholarships administered for the U.S. Department of State. IIE also conducts policy research, provides resources on international exchange opportunities and offers support to scholars in danger.
ICEF brings together international educators, industry service providers and carefully screened student recruitment agents at networking events around the world, helping them to create strategic partnerships and increase international student enrollments.
BBB has determined that Boston School of Modern Languages meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.
